Phạm Lực

Họa sĩ Phạm Lực sinh năm 1943, ông thuộc thế hệ họa sĩ đầu tiên theo học tại Trường Mỹ thuật Việt Nam (nay là Trường Đại học Mỹ thuật Hà Nội) khóa 1959-1964. Ngay khi vừa tốt nghiệp, năm 1965, khi đế quốc Mỹ đánh phá miền Bắc, ông xung phong đi bộ đội. Trong cuộc chiến tranh, ông đã có mặt ở khắp các chiến trường, từ Thanh Hóa, Quảng Bình đến Trường Sơn, Tây Nguyên và đồng bằng Nam Bộ. Họa sĩ Phạm Lực là một trong số rất ít hay không nói là duy nhất hiện tại ở Việt Nam, ông có hẳn một câu lạc bộ trong nước và nước ngoài đông đảo sưu tập tranh của ông suốt gần 30 năm qua, và có thể là họa sĩ đương đại có nét bút pháp khác biệt, độc đáo, gần gũi thể hiện sự nổi trội độc đáo của một họa sĩ bẩm sinh, hiện giá tranh của ông (2019) là khá cao so với các họa sĩ khác và đạt nhiều kỉ lục về giao dịch của giới sưu tập.

Phạm Lực, born in 1943, is a representative of the first generation of artists who underwent education at the Vietnam Fine Arts School (currently known as Hanoi University of Fine Arts) during the period 1959-1964. Upon graduating in 1965, during the U.S. military intervention in North Vietnam, he actively enlisted in the armed forces. Throughout the course of the war, he actively participated in various theaters, ranging from Thanh Hoa and Quang Binh to the Truong Son, Central Highlands, and the Mekong Delta. In 1989, he retired from military service with the rank of major. Phạm Lực's life narrative could be characterized as an extensive novel, replete with adversities and poignant romanticism.
