Sĩ Nguyên

Họa sĩ - nhà thơ Bàng Sĩ Nguyên, tên thật Bàng Khởi Phụng, sinh ngày 13-8-1925 tại Bắc Giang, quê gốc Bình Lục, Hà Nam. Gia đình là trí thức, với anh ruột là nhà thơ Bàng Bá Lân. Gia đình ông nổi tiếng với cửa hàng tơ lụa và hiệu thuốc bắc trải dài từ Bắc đến Nam. Ông theo học tại trường Thăng Long, Hà Nội, và tham gia kháng chiến chống Pháp, làm báo Quân Việt Bắc.

Sau hòa bình 1954, ông làm biên tập viên cho nhiều tờ báo và NXB Văn học. Ông tự mô tả về sự khởi đầu trong văn nghệ từ những năm 1947, gặp gỡ với nhiều nhà văn nổi tiếng và viết với mong muốn thể hiện bản thân. Ông, mặc dù không nhớ rõ thời điểm, nhưng mô tả những khoảnh khắc tâm thái cao trào khi sáng tác.

Được biết đến với nhiều tác phẩm thơ và truyện ngắn, ông còn là họa sĩ tài năng, từng tham gia trại sáng tác ở Hắc Hải. Một người bạn Do Thái nhận xét tranh của ông đẹp hơn cả khi ông viết thơ. Đào tạo con cái về nghệ thuật, ông để lại gia tài vô song cho các con: họa sĩ - nhà thơ Bàng Ái Thơ, Bàng Sĩ Trực, Bàng Thục Bân... Gia sản về hội họa và tinh thần mạnh mẽ của ông truyền lại là động lực cho sự đam mê nghệ thuật của thế hệ sau.

Bang Si Nguyen is a talented painter. He was invited to go on vacation and participate in a composition camp in the Black Sea region (Soviet Union). At the Hac Hai creative camp, a Jewish friend told Bang Si Nguyen: What do you write poetry for, while, at the same time, your paintings are so beautiful. After that encouragement, he continued to paint and opened his first personal gallery in Hanoi in 1973.

 

Painter Bang Si Truc, his son, recalled: “There was a year when my father suddenly went blind, a picture collector told him to take him to a doctor, but he had to wait for his son to come in from Hanoi to take him away before he could go. . Then while he was covering his eyes, he asked me to stretch to draw, he painted in the dark but still turned into a picture with full composition and color. That means he paints without looking, without light, just with the feeling of his soul and the alignment of his hands.

 

A person who paints with ten fingers, paints on all materials, draws well, paints even when the eye can't see but is very passionate about nude painting. When he was still alive, the artist painted a whole set of Kieu paintings in the nude genre with up to dozens of paintings still "original, original", not sold and never held an exhibition. Currently, artist Bang Si Nguyen has 5 paintings on display at the Museum of Fine Arts in Tokyo, Japan.

 

In the last years of his life, he moved alone to Saigon to paint. Explaining his departure, the talented artist said that in Hanoi he felt more sad than happy, so he decided to go into hiding to release his soul into his paintings
